Update 15 October 2021: Due to new COVID-19 measures the mail processing at Melbourne offices experience a delay. Australia Post will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates.

Update 26 July 2021: Australia Post is experiencing disruptions to its daily operations due to emergency measures imposed by the government. These measures, which include lockdowns, state border closures, restrictions on movement, self-isolation and limitations on air and other transport services, have affected the processing and delivery of inbound and outbound mail items, especially in Victoria and New South Wales.

Update 20 May 2021: Air volumes to Australia have been restored.

Update 12 May 2021: Cancelations of several carriers have impacted the volume available towards Australia. The ​impact on Melbourne and Perth is limited. Currently only destination Sydney may experience delays of 4 to 7 days.

Update 23 March 2021: Extreme weather conditions within Australia, in particular for New South Wales and Southern Queensland, have resulted in extensive flooding. Australia Post has limited delivery to the following postcodes: 2424, 2426, 2427, 4229, 2430, 2440, 2441, 2756 & 2750, 2751, 2578, (NSW) 4114, & 4207 (QLD). In addition a number of Post Offices in the impacted areas are closed. The Australia Post website will be updated regularly as the situation changes. The weather is expected to worsen over the next few days and ease by Wednesday, however ongoing delays may be expected.

Update 23 July: Due to heavy rain and floods in Henan Province, pickup and delivery services are temporary suspended until further notice in the following postal areas: 453000-459018, 461000-467544, 471000-477297 in the Henan province and 450000-451192, 451200-451285, 451450-451484, 452370-452396 and 452470-452491 in the Zhengzhou province. Due to Covid19, pickup and delivery services are temporary suspended in the following postal areas until further notice: 211113 (Lukou Jiedao area) and 211222 (Shiqiu Jiedao area). Mail will be buffered at destination until these area’s reopen.

Update 29 June: China Post has communicated that due to covid-19 restrictive measures the area of Jin'nan and Yu'an, both in Lu'an city with postal code 237000 are experiencing delayed deliveries. Some areas around Guangzhou currently have no service at all. This concerns the postal codes: 510360, 510370, 510375, 510378, 510380-51382, 510385, 510388, 523130-523148 and 523133. Updates on the situation will be published as soon as they come in.

Update 7th October: The floods that caused delays in the south of France are no longer affecting delivery.

Update 15th September: Due to severe weather conditions, delays are expected in the south of France in the regions of Gard and Hérault (zip codes starting with 34 and 30).

Update 4 May: Following a cyber-attack impacting Colis Privé on the 24th of April, there was no connection possible to the file exchange and the track and trace functionality of Colis Privé was shut down. The tracking of packages was no longer possible. Colis Privé has worked hard over the past week to get the issues resolved. As of yesterday the POD scans are available again. Today and tomorrow more tracking events will become available for live shipments. Also tracking updates will be done in the systems on items delivered last week. Pick up points will remain unavailable for the time being (expected to re-open on the 10th of May), but second delivery attempts will be made on appointment with the recipients. Colis Privé reassured their partners that no data has been leaked or lost. Colis Privé has taken additional security measures, to make sure this will not happen again.

Update 26 April: Following a cyber-attack impacting Colis Privé, there is no connection possible to the track and trace functionality of this partner. This means that the tracking to your packages is currently unavailable. Colis Prive is doing everything they can to get this functionality back on track as soon as possible.

Update 11 February: Due to heavy snowfall in France, delays can be expected for the collection and delivery of all products & networks in some areas in the northwest of the country (zip codes: 22, 29, 35, 50, 53, 56, 61, 72, 77, 78, 91, 95.) Once the weather conditions improve, the delivery will be back on track.

Update 3 February: Due to flooding after heavy rainfall in the Bordeaux region (zip codes 16, 17, 24, 32, 33, 40, 47) in France, delays can be expected for the collection and delivery of all products & networks in some areas in the country. Once the weather conditions improve, the delivery will be back on track.

Update 8 September: Due to hurricane IDA the airports of New York and Chicago and the mainland of New Jersey and New York experience a delay.

Update 21 July: All mail and e-commerce shipments passing through Chicago Airport could incur delays of 7 to 14 days due to high volumes and the impact on operations caused by COVID-19. Zip codes 35000 to 84499 have been affected.

Update 20 July: Zip codes 35000 to 84499 have been affected by delays to shipments passing through Chicago Airport (ORD). The expected delays are 14 to 21 days on top of normal transit times.

Update 13 July: Shipments passing through Chicago Airport could incur delays of 14 to 21 days due to high volumes and the impact on operations caused by COVID-19. Packages and parcels passing through the USA may also still be subject to delays due to the local measures taken to slow the spread of COVID-19. On average, these delays amount to 7 to 14 days on top of normal transit times.

Update 29 April: High volumes destined to the Chicago area, resulted in a backlog of five days. All other entry points into the US, are performing well. USPS is however still experiencing delays in processing and delivering parcels nationwide, due to COVID-19 measures.

Update 9 March: All offices of exchange in the US are open and processing well. We do however still experience delays in processing at the USPS nationwide due to the measures taken in order to prevent further outbreak of Covid-19.

Update 2 February: We are currently unable to fly our volumes towards JFK Airport in New York due to heavy snowfall. Volumes are kept at our carriers side in NL and will be transported as soon as flights are accepted again. Impact on processing at USPS is unknown, but we expect severe delays in delivery of items in the New York area as well.

Update 23 July: Postal codes 42XXX, 44XXX, 45XXX, 50XXX, 52XXX, 53XXX, 54XXX, 56XXX, 58XXX and 95XXX have been affected by the recent floods in Germany. All mail and parcel deliveries have been delayed for an undetermined amount of time.

Update 16 July: Recent floods in the south-western part of Germany, specifically the states of Rhineland-Palatine, North Rhine-Westphalia, Sauerland and Bergisches Land are currently causing delays in the delivery of all mail and parcels. 

Resolved 11 February: Due to heavy snowfall in Germany, potential delays can be expected for the collection and delivery of all products & networks in the north and east of the country. Once the weather conditions improve, the delivery will be back on track.

Update 26 July: The following postal areas have been affected by the recent floods in Luxembourg: 10xx, 29xx, 58xx, 59xx, 64xx, 65xx, 66xx, 67xx, 68xx, 74xx, 75xx, 94xx. All mail and parcel deliveries have been delayed.

Update 16 July: Recent floods in the north-eastern part of Luxembourg are currently causing delays in the delivery of all mail and parcels. 

In order to minimise the impact of Covid-19 Luxembourg Post is forced to adjust their operations in order to secure the health and safety of their employees. They informed us this will result in delays in delivery and will last till further notice.

Greece (GR)

Update 24 August: Due to technical issues with the interface between Hellenic Post and the Greek customs, it is not possible to perform customs declarations. This means that items destined for Greece, that need to be custom cleared, will face delays in customs procedures. Once the issues are resolved and customs operations are back to normal, this ISA will be put on resolved.

Update 22 April: Due to a combination of high inbound volumes, ongoing COVID-19-related staffing issues and a reorganisation programme, mail items sent through Hellenic Post Greece can expect delays of 3 to 7 days on top of common transit times.

Update 6 April: High inbound volumes and ongoing staffing challenges make that Hellenic Post are unable to process mail in a timely manner. They are currently processing mail which arrived in March and are giving priority to post originated from PostNL.

Update 15 June: The workers union 'Cobas' has called for a nation-wide logistical strike to take place Friday the 18th of June in Italy. Additional delays of 1-2 days can be expected for all products to this destination on top of earlier communicated delays related to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Update 4 May: Poste Italiane has informed us that they temporarily cannot guarantee collections and deliveries for the province of Brescia, due to operational delays caused by unforeseeable and extraordinary issues. This communication is published on the official Poste Italiane website, where further relevant updates will be stated.

Update 25 March: The workers union 'Cobas' has called for a nation-wide logistical strike to take place Friday the 26th of March in Italy. Additional delays of 1-2 days can be expected for all products to this destination on top of earlier communicated delays related to the Covid-19 restrictions and customs capacity.

Update 16 March: Poste Italiane is experiencing capacity issues at their customs warehouse due to very high, unexpected parcel volumes received from countries outside the EU. There are difficulties with storing and customs clearing of incoming parcel mail items from non-EU origins, due to this the transit times will be longer. Poste Italiane is doing the best they can to clear the backlog and to get the process under control again. Please take note that the delays are only affecting items coming from non-EU origins.

Update 4 March: The workers union 'Cobas' has called for a nation-wide logistical strike to take place Monday the 8th of March in Italy. Additional delays of 1-2 days can be expected for all products to this destination on top of earlier communicated delays related to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Update 4 March: We currently experience large delays for all our volumes towards Italy. This is caused by several issues. Due to intensive customs checks all products are delayed which can measure up to 28 days. Poste Italiane is working together with customs to improve the transit times.

Update 27 May 2021: Due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka, new prevention measures have been implemented. All delivery of letters and parcels is suspended with immediate effect and will last until June 7th. Shipments for this destination will still be flown over, however itthey will be stored and delivered once the prevention measures have been lifted.

Update 29 April: Due to an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Toronto Air Mail Unit (AMU) of Canadian Post, this AMU will be closed for two weeks. The mail and parcel traffic will be diverted to the Montreal AMU, which will result in an additional delay of 1-3 days for shipments destined for the Toronto region.

Update 16 April: Slovenská Pošta will continue to provide postal services in line with public health measures and other restrictions, but with a reduced workforce. This affects the quality of services in Slovakia and expected transit times for the delivery of mail and parcels cannot be met.

In addition a number of Post Offices in the impacted areas are closed.

Update 16 February: The designated operator of Indonesia, Pos Indonesia, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that an earthquake has hit Sulawesi Island, affecting the areas of Mamuju and Majene. As a result, there has been physical damage to facilities and public services are disrupted. Furthermore, heavy rain in the Central Java and West Java provinces has caused floods, which are affecting postal operations. Delays are therefore to be expected in the processing and delivery of letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items. Once the weather conditions improve, the delivery will be back on track.

Update 18 September: Due to IT issues with our partners in Austria, we see a deterioration in the number of delivery scans for AT Post over the last 5 months.This does not mean that the packets and parcels are not delivered, they are just missing the delivery scan. Our postal partner is working towards a solution with the greatest urgency, while this is an issue for all postal partners sending to this destination. Please keep in mind that AT Post is not sharing tracking events for the registered service.

Update 07 January: While Brexit has caused multiple disruptions in our logistical network towards the UK, we are pleased to inform you that all mitigating actions we took have resulted in no further delays as from the 7th of January. The traffic jams at Calais have been resolved and we are able to handover our volumes in the UK as promised. The processing of all volumes is currently also handled according the expected transit times.

Due to flight restrictions to Cyprus there is currently no option to deliver to the destination. Therefore heavy delays are expected. The issue is Europe wide. We continue to investigate on alternative routes. The material received will be stored until new flight opportunities arise.
