Challenges
Pre-development:
- Lead the market study and exploration for new origins (Japan, Korea and potential others)
- Coordinate and/or execute market research for new origins
- Manage relationships with trade associations in new origins
- Manage relationship with market entry and/or research partners in new origins
Development:
- Define and develop options for market entry together with the development team and regional team
- Assess the feasibility of these options through field research and identify potential risks
- Create an initial business plan for market entry
- Facilitate the go-no go process for market entry
- Create the development plan for origins where we decide to enter the market
Go-to-market or new markets:
- Support the development of our solutions for Vietnam, Singapore and potential other new origins
- Act as linking pin between the local resources and partners, the central development team and other teams/departments
- Develop/organize the finance, IT and customer service back-office processes and ensure smooth transition to existing organization
- Coordinate the commercial process and setup and maintain the pricing policy for non-Chinese origins together with the commercial manager
- Act as Product Owner for SpringOmni, a MyParcel.com solution we use to onboard local customers, and ensure the requirements for different origins are developed by the SpringOmni development team. Ensure in collaboration with the SpringOmni and TTINT development teams that the operational processes for new origins are secured in the connection between both systems.
- Represent Spring and attend overseas seminars, workshops and conferences for business networking
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in new project management or solution development in an international environment, preferably in cross-border e-commerce logistics
- Entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to set up a new project from scratch and book steady progress
- A hands-on approach, comfortable with working independently and in situations in which a lot of things are not yet readily available
- Strong sense of ownership
- Experience with new market research/development, good commercial insights
- Practical, pro-active and problem-solving attitude; good interpersonal communication and collaborative skills
- Prior experience in working within multi-cultural, international teams is required
- Good command of spoken and written English; additional Asian language skills (Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese) are a plus
