We are seeking a proactive, people-oriented and hands-on Senior HR Manager to join our team in Hong Kong. This could be your opportunity!

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full execution of HR functions, from talent acquisition, onboarding to compensation and benefits, retention and employee engagement
  • Responsible for the execution of the recruitment processes including but not limited to candidate selection and shortlisting after 1st interview
  • Propose and align the employment benefits for new joiners based on current salaries of staff, taking in mind the benchmarking for similar positions in the country of employment
  • Work together with tax and legal for hiring staff abroad via third party agreements to ensure compliance. Negotiate terms with third parties involved.
  • Negotiate employee secondary benefits, like life insurance and medical insurance plans with vendors and source additional options.
  • Prepare the annual and midterm performance review for all staff
  • Responsible for updating, reviewing and proposing changes to HR policy, ensuring compliancy with HK labour regulations and EOC.
  • Proactively identify “people issues” and offer recommendations and proposals to the management team to help them identify and implement effective solutions for the ongoing enhancement of the overall working environment
  • Collaborate with the external integrity lawyer when receiving official complaints
  • Identify employee and company needs, recommend and organize internal and external training and development opportunities to enhance employees' competencies for continuous advancement
  • Take charge of staff wellness, health and safety
  • Facilitate internal communication between departments and employees
  • Give first line HR advice to the management team regarding Hong Kong Labour Law, HR market news, environmental policy changes and topics related to Asian and local culture
  • Participate in HR internal and external audit to ensure compliance with the company policies
  • Act as an internal “trust” person within the company
  • Provide regular updates of market data on HR related matters to ensure the company’s benefit, compensation and HR policies are competitive versus the market
  • Lead the welfare committee, propose the company activity calendar and coordinate big company events
  • Follow up on engagement survey results, prepare the action plan and coordinate execution
  • Actively engage in the Spring HR community
  • Act as the back-up for the HR Manager

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines
  • At least 10 years of Human Resources experience, preferably from working in a multinational company
  • Well-versed in local Employment Ordinance and other related ordinances and regulations
  • Experience in handling employee issues, staff engagement initiatives and recruitment
  • Experience in using HR systems
  • Hands-on experience in using direct recruitment channels such as JobsDB and LinkedIn, including posting job advertisements and managing applications directly, next to working with recruitment agencies
  • Experience in hiring staff via third parties in countries outside of Hong Kong
  • Well organised, strong sense of responsibility, detail minded, positive and can-do attitude; self-motivated, able to work independently
  • A strong team-player who can demonstrate commitment and proactively engage with members from the whole team.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to relate well with people at all levels
  • Proven experience in dealing with multi-cultural human resources issues
  • A good understanding of the business environment, business principles and processes to ensure advice and guidance aligns with business goals
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, English & Chinese Word processing
  • Good command in spoken and written English and Cantonese
