Spring GDS announces its partnership with Too Good To Go, a global social impact company.
Partnership combines scalable logistics in new fulfilment centre with shared commitment to sustainability
Pulheim, 10 February 2026 – Spring GDS, part of the PostNL Group, a leading specialist in international shipping solutions, announces its partnership with Too Good To Go, a global social impact company, on a mission to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.
As part of the collaboration, the company is using PostNL’s new fulfilment center in Schifferstadt near Mannheim, operated by SpringGDS. This makes Too Good To Go one of the first major customers at the new location. The expansion of logistics capacity supports further growth in Germany and Austria.
International expertise and scalable fulfilment
For Spring GDS, the partnership underscores the role of the Schifferstadt fulfilment center as an international hub for e-commerce and cross-border distribution. “Too Good To Go is a strong example of a purpose-driven brand that wants to scale internationally,” explains Stefan Böhler, Managing Director Germany at Spring GDS. “With our expertise and international fulfilment network, we enable reliable, efficient, and cross-border logistics. The collaboration demonstrates how logistics can act as an enabler for sustainable business models.”
For consumers in Germany and Austria, the parcels offer a cost-effective way to purchase high-quality products while actively contributing to the reduction of food waste.
Logistics creates foundation for more sustainable food consumption
The collaboration aligns with Too Good To Go's mission to reduce food waste by giving surplus products a second chance. Too Good To Go parcels contain shelf-stable products that can no longer be sold through regular retail channels due to overproduction, packaging changes, or damaged labels, even though they remain perfectly safe to consume. The range now also includes pet food. Since launching the delivery option in July 2024, more than 1.5 million Too Good To Go parcels have already been delivered directly to consumers' doorsteps.
“With the opening of a new warehouse in Germany, we can meet the growing demand for our Too Good To Go Packages even better. Every rescued food item is a step in the right direction to minimize the waste of valuable resources. This warehouse is an important milestone in further advancing our mission.” explains Katharina Hauke, Country Director Too Good To Go Germany.
Strategic fulfilment hub in the heart of Europe
The fulfilment center near Mannheim has been operational since early November 2025. The facility offers 10,000 square meters of operating space and a total capacity of up to 4 million parcels per year. With this new location, PostNL and Spring GDS strategically expand their European logistics network and strengthen their presence in the economically strong Rhine-Neckar region. From this central location, Spring GDS provides integrated fulfilment and international logistics solutions for various European markets. As a result of centralizing inventory and fulfilment activities, Too Good To Go benefits from increased operational efficiency, short delivery times, and optimised transport routes. This approach supports scalability while also contributing to reduced environmental impact.
This project builds on the successful international collaboration between Too Good To Go, PostNL, and Spring GDS, following the joint launch of a similar initiative in Wroclaw, Poland, in 2025.
